A Rite of Fancy Book Recommendation and Review
Mira is dead, the mutineers think they’re free, but Mason is coming—and he won’t stop until every last one of them pays.
A short summary of Assets and Liabilities:
When Mira is betrayed and murdered by mutineers, Alex Mason is left with only one mission: find them and make them pay. His pursuit drags him through a maze of lies, shifting loyalties, and deadly traps, where every move could be his last. Ruthless, relentless, and uncompromising, Mason will stop at nothing to bring justice to those who thought they could escape it.
My favorite David Archer/Blake Banner quote in the book:
There is always a better choice than cowardice.
Questions to ponder while reading:
Who would you trust?
When do you give up?
My review:
Another fun little thriller from David Archer and Blake Banner. Assets and Liabilities is fast-paced, sharp, and unsettlingly close to real-world possibilities. The story delivers plenty of twists, turns, and trauma, keeping the tension high while never straying too far from plausibility. A gripping read that feels both entertaining and alarmingly relevant.
