A Rite of Fancy Book Recommendation and Review
A short summary:
What starts as a simple question—who would actually be capable of killing someone?—quickly spirals into something far darker. Twisted explores the thin, fragile line between ordinary thought and violent action, forcing characters (and readers) to confront how easily rational minds can fracture.
As the story unfolds, disturbing ideas take root and imagination becomes dangerous. The narrative toys with perception, intent, and morality, pulling the reader deeper into a psychological maze where certainty erodes, and instability takes hold. The tension lies not only in what happens, but in what might.

My review:
This is a compact, unsettling psychological thriller that leaves a residue.
Steven Konkoly uses vivid imagery and disturbing concepts to create a sense of unease that builds quietly and then refuses to let go. Rather than relying on nonstop action, Twisted unsettles by planting ideas and letting them grow in uncomfortable directions.
The imagery is engaging.
The concepts are genuinely scary.
And by the end, my head felt just a little… twisted.
It’s the kind of book that lingers, not because of spectacle, but because it makes you question how close dark thoughts really are, and how easily they could tip into something irreversible.
