Sherry Altman’s A Prophecy of Crimson Flames opens the door to a vivid, imaginative world of myth, magic, and destiny. From the first page, readers are swept into a realm rich with prophecy, elemental power, and the uneasy balance between light and shadow. Altman’s world-building shines, intricate, layered, and alive with detail, creating a setting that feels both ancient and new.

This is an indie treat for fantasy lovers. The pacing builds steadily, the dialogue rings true, and the relationships carry real emotional weight. Altman’s writing balances action and introspection beautifully, drawing readers deeper into her world with each chapter.

And perhaps best of all, this is only the beginning. A Prophecy of Crimson Flames is Book One of Two, and it leaves just enough threads untied to have me eagerly awaiting the continuation of Jade’s story.
