My review:

The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue is a beautifully written, thoughtful exploration of consequence wrapped in a darkly enchanting fable. Schwab balances lyrical prose with philosophical weight, creating a story that feels both intimate and expansive across time.

The novel is engrossing from beginning to end, not because of constant action, but because of the quiet tension of survival, how long a soul can endure being unseen. Addie’s resilience is compelling, though the length of her isolation raises uncomfortable questions about what most people could truly bear.

At its heart, the book asks whether freedom without connection is freedom at all, and whether being remembered is the truest form of immortality. It’s a haunting, reflective story that lingers long after the final page.
